QUEENS — A driver who went into cardiac arrest lost control of his car and slammed into several other vehicles Friday morning in Forest Hills, injuring at least two people, police said.

The accident, which took place around 9:20 a.m. at 108th Street and 66th Avenue, involved at least five vehicles, according to police officials and witnesses.

The 65-year-old driver of a Kia Sorento was heading south on 108th Street when he lost control of his car after going into cardiac arrest, police said.

Witnesses said the man slammed into two cars that were waiting at a red light in the northbound lane. At least two parked cars were also hit and two pedestrians — a man and a woman — were injured, witnesses and police officials said.

The male pedestrian refused medical attention at the scene. The woman was taken to Elmhurst Hospital with minor injuries, police said.

“That was really bad,” said Wilfredo De La Rosa, 42, a limo driver whose car got hit during the accident.

The driver who caused the crash was taken to Elmhurst Hospital and was in stable condition, according to fire and police officials.

“He was bleeding a lot from the nose, from the face,” De La Rosa said about the driver. De La Rosa said that another driver and a passanger were also hurt in the accident, but authorities could not confirm that information.

A witness, who said his name was Mario, said he was passing by when he “heard the noise.”

“The tires went crazy over there and he hit all those cars,” he said. "It was terrible."
