WILLIAMSBURG — A police officer went to the hospital with leg injuries after a subway fare beater pushed him down the stairs at the Lorimer L train station, officials said.

The officer, with the local 90th Precinct, caught Kaheam Reid, 21, entering the subway station through the emergency gate without paying on Wednesday, Oct. 22, just after 12 p.m., according to police and the criminal complaint.

The officer then stopped Reid and showed him his police badge, police said.

Reid began tussling with the officer and tossed him down a flight of stairs in the station, police and the Brooklyn District Attorney's office said.

The officer was taken to the hospital with swelling and pain in his right leg, officials said. He suffered injuries to his ankle, knee and hand, the complaint said.

Reid was charged with second degree assault, theft of services and trespassing, the DA's office said. He was released, with his next court date set for Jan. 28.

His attorney did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Other notable crimes in the 90th Precinct include:

► A man was beaten by a group of attackers after leaving his friend's East Williamsburg apartment, causing injuries to his eye that require surgery, police said.

The victim, 20, was leaving his friend's house near Harrison Place and Knickerbocker Avenue on Oct. 18 after midnight when five men approached him, police said.

The group then punched and kicked the victim, ultimately throwing him against a car and causing a cut to his right eye, police said. The bone behind the man's right eye must be removed as a result of his injuries, police said.

No one has been arrested in the incident, police added.

► A pizza delivery man was robbed at gunpoint of more than $250 in property — as well as the pie — at the Williamsburg Houses complex, police said.

The victim, 34, said he was delivering pizza to an apartment on Stagg Walk near Manhattan Avenue on Oct. 22, about 3:45 p.m., police said.

Once there, three men met him and flashed a silver handgun, police said.

One of the assailants said, "Don't say nothing and give me all your stuff" before going through the victim's pockets and swiping a Coach wallet and cellphone, police said. The men also took the pizza.

The property was worth $255 total, police said.

The men were all described as about 20 years old and standing at 5-foot-7, police said.

No one has been arrested for the incident.
