QUEENS — Two Ozone Park subway stations along the A line will be closed for three months as part of a $39 million station renewal project.

Starting Monday, Oct. 13 at 5 a.m. Manhattan-bound trains will skip 104 St-Oxford Avenue and 88 St-Boyd Avenue to allow for repairs through early January, according to the MTA. Queens-bound trains will make stops at the stations.

Manhattan-bound riders traveling to 104th Street in Ozone Park will have to go to Rockaway Boulevard and then transfer to a Lefferts Boulevard-bound train. People traveling from the 104th Street station will have to go one stop east to 111th Street to catch a Manhattan-bound train.

People traveling toward the Ozone Park 88th Street station on a Manhattan-bound line will have to ride to 80th Street and transfer to either a Lefferts-bound or Rockaway-bound train. Riders traveling from 88th Street can go one stop east to Rockaway Boulevard on a Lefferts-bound or Rockaway-bound train to transfer to a Manhattan-bound train.

The station work includes repairs or replacements of platform stairs, mezzanine floors, platform edges and repainting. New lighting in the mezzanines and artwork will also be added to the stations.

The closings follow recently completed work on the Queens-bound stations at 88th Street and 104th Street. Full service resumed on Sept. 29 after work began on May 12.

The ongoing capital project will refurbish stations at 80th Street, 88th Street, Rockaway Boulevard, 104th Street and 111th Street.

Work will impact two stations at a time, one direction at a time, an MTA spokeswoman said.

It was not immediately clear when work on all the stations was expected to be completed.
