HELL’S KITCHEN — A shirtless attacker slugged a man in the back of the head last month after making anti-gay remarks, police said.

The suspect approached a 21-year-old victim as he walked along West 48th Street between Eighth and Ninth avenues at about 4:10 a.m. on Sept 14, made an anti-gay comment, then clocked him in the back of the head, the NYPD said.

The victim fell face-first onto the sidewalk. He was transported to NYU Langone Medical Center, where he was treated and released, the NYPD said.

Police described the suspect as about 25 years old, 5-foot-10 and 180 pounds.

Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS.
