Man Missing from Staten Island Coast Guard Base, Police Say

FORT WADSWORTH — A man stationed at the U.S. Coast Guard's Staten Island base has been missing since last week, police said.

Christopher Montgomery, 26, was last seen at the facility at 215 Drum Ave. on Thursday around 9 a.m., police said.

He was on active duty for the Coast Guard and served as an operations specialist, a spokesman for the Coast Guard said.

Police described Montgomery as 5-foot-9 and 200 pounds, with blue eyes and black hair. He was last seen wearing shorts, flip flops and a hoodie, police said.
