Woman Fights Off Would-Be Rapist in Greenpoint, Police Say

GREENPOINT — A 25-year-old woman fought off a would-be rapist early Sunday in Greenpoint, police said.

The man approached the woman from behind at the corner of Morgan Avenue and Driggs Street shortly before 3 a.m., police said.

He pushed her against a wall and attempted to rape her, police said. She struggled, and he ran off, police said.

The man was last seen wearing a T-shirt, jeans and running shoes.
