Service Changes Planned for 14 Subway Lines This Weekend

MIDTOWN — Service changes are set to hit 14 subway lines this weekend as widespread MTA work takes place.

Here’s a breakdown by line:

1 Line: From 11:30 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, 1 trains will be suspended between 96th Street and Van Cortlandt Park. A and C trains and free shuttle buses will provide alternate service.

2 Line: From 3:45 a.m. Saturday to 10 p.m. Sunday, Wakefield-241st Street-bound 2 trains will run express from Third Avenue-149th Street to East 180th Street.

From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, Flatbush Avenue-bound 2 trains will run express from Barclays Center to Franklin Avenue.

3 Line: From 6 a.m. to 11:45 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, News Lots Avenue-bound 3 trains will run express from Barclays to Franklin Avenue.

4 Line: From 12:01 a.m. Saturday to 5 a.m. Monday, 4 trains will run local in both directions between 125th Street and Grand Central.

From 11:45 p.m. to 6 a.m. Friday to Sunday, and from 11:45 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday, Brooklyn-bound 4 trains will run express from Grand Central to Union Square.

From 11:45 p.m. to 6 a.m. Friday to Sunday, and from 11:45 p.m. Sunday to Monday, New Lots-bound 4 trains will run express from Barclays to Franklin Avenue.

5 Line: From 5:45 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. Saturday, and from 7:45 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday, Bronx-bound 5 trains run every 20 minutes between Eastchester-Dyre-Avenue and Bowling Green, and local between 125th Street and Grand Central.

6 Line: Until February 2015, 6 trains will skip Zerega Avenue and Buhre Avenue in both directions.

From 11:45 p.m. Friday to Monday, Pelham Bay Park-bound 6 trains will run express from Hunts Point Avenue to Parkchester due to track tie renewal south of Whitlock Avenue and track panel installation north of Elder Avenue.

From 7:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, 6 trains will run every 16 minutes between 3rd Avenue-138th Street and Pelham Bay Park. The last stop for some Pelham Bay Park trains is 3rd Avenue-138th Street.

From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, Brooklyn-bound 6 trains will run express from Grand Central to Union Square.

From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 4 a.m. Monday, Pelham Bay Park-bound 6 trains will run express from Parkcchester to Pelham Bay Park.

7 Line: From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, Flushing-bounds 7 trains will run express from 74th Street-Broadway to Citi Field.

A Line: Until 5 a.m. Monday, Far Rockaway/Lefferts Boulevard-bound As will skip 88th Street, and Lefferts Boulevard-bound A will skip 104th Street.

For service to 88th Street, take the A to Rockaway Boulevard and transfer to a Brooklyn-bound A. For service from 88th Street, take a Brooklyn-bound A to 80th Street and transfer to a Far Rockaway or Lefferts Boulevard-bound A.

For service to 104th Street, take the Lefferts Boulevard-bound A to Lefferts Boulevard and transfer to a Brooklyn-bound A. For service from 104th Street, take the Q112 bus or take the A to Rockaway Boulevard and transfer to a Lefferts Boulevard-bound A.

D Line: From 11:30 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, Ds are suspended between Barclays Center and 34th Street-Herald Square. Take the F, N, Q or R or special shuttle trains instead.

Ds will run: Between Coney Island and Barclays; between Herald Square and Norwood-205th Street; special shuttle trains operate every 20 minutes between Grand Street and West 4th Street, stopping at Broadway-Lafayette Street.

E Line: From 11:30 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, Jamaica-bound E trains will be rerouted over the M line from West 4th Street to 21st Street-Queensbridge.

From 11:45 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. Friday to Sunday, and from 11:45 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday, Manhattan-bound E trains will run express from Roosevelt Avenue to Queens Plaza.

From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, World Trade Center-bound E trains will skip 75th Avenue.

F Line: From 11:15 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, Coney Island-bound F trains are rerouted via the M from Roosevelt Avenue to 47-50th Street-Rockefeller Center.

From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, Brooklyn-bound F trains will skip Sutphin Boulevard, Van Wyck Boulevard and 75th Avenue.

From 12:01 a.m Saturday to 5 a.m. Monday, Jamaica-bound F trains will run local in Queens.

G Line: From 5 a.m. to midnight Saturday and Sunday, G trains will run every 20 minutes between Court Square and Bedford-Nostrand Avenues. Some Queens-bound G trains will terminate at Bedford-Nostrand Avenues.

N Line: From 11:30 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, N trains will run local between Barclays and 59th Street in Brooklyn, terminating at DeKalb Avenue.

From 5:45 a.m. to 10 a.m. Sunday, Brooklyn-bound N trains will run express between Astoria Boulevard and Queensboro Plaza.

R Line: From 5:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Manhattan-bound R trains will run express from Roosevelt Avenue to Queens Plaza.

From 11:45 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. Friday, and from 11:45 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday, R trains are suspended between 59th Street and 36th Street in Brooklyn. R trains will run between 95th Street and 59th Street in Brooklyn.
