Thieves Take $2K Worth of Purses from Staten Island Store, Police Say

NEW SPRINGVILLE — Thieves took more than $2,000 worth of purses from a Staten Island clothing store last month, police said.

Police said three women took 12 Michael Kors handbags, worth $2,166, from the Marshalls at 2485 Richmond Ave. around 6 p.m. on Aug. 6, police said.

Police described the first suspect as last seen wearing a blue t-shirt and black shorts.

The second was wearing a white t-shirt and multi-colored leggings and police didn't have a description for the third suspect.

The first two suspects were caught on surveillance footage inside the store, police said.
