NEW DORP — A man tried to swipe bacon and beer from a Staten Island Stop and Shop on Sunday, prosecutors said.

Marc Confessore, 24, was caught by police on Sunday trying to take 48 packs of bacon, four cases of Heineken, five bags of Pedigree dog food, a package of steak, chips, paper plates and towels from the Stop and Shop on 2754 Hylan Blvd., according to court papers.

Confessore was charged with attempted petit larceny and attempted criminal possession of stolen property at his arraignment on Monday, the district attorney's office said.

Prosecutors also think that Confessore was part of a trio which robbed a Staten Island spa with a hammer in August.

Confessore and two others walked into the New Royal Spa, at 639 North Railroad Ave., on Aug. 20, threatened an employee with a hammer and made off with $600 cash, police said. The other two suspects haven't been arrested yet, court papers read.

He was charged with robbery, menacing and criminal possession of stolen property for that case, prosecutors said.

Other notable crimes that occurred in Staten Island include:

► A 24-year-old man was stabbed in the torso and arm after an argument on the College of Staten Island shuttle bus to the St. George Ferry Terminal, prosecutors said.

Basil Yousef, 23, got into an argument with the victim on the bus on Tuesday, according to court papers.

Yousef waited for the victim to exit the bus at the drop-off spot near the ferry terminal, then stabbed him with a knife twice in the torso and once in the arm, court papers read.

The victim was transported to Richmond University Medical Center.

Yousef was charged with assault, harassment and criminal possession of a weapon, prosecutors said.

► A Staten Island man previously arrested for his part in a large drug ring sold heroin to undercover police officers several times from June until September, prosecutors said.

Darren Lloyd, 29, sold heroin to officers five times in spots around the borough, starting on June 26, court papers read. His last sale was on Tuesday a little after 3 p.m. in front of 518 Melyn Place.

Lloyd was arrested on Tuesday and charged with criminal sale and possession of a controlled substance at his Wednesday arraignment, prosecutors said.

He previously served time for attempted criminal sale of a controlled substance as part of a large 2010 bust of dealers in Manhattan, the district attorney's office said.

► A Staten Island man sold oxycodone to undercover officers down the block from his home in August, prosecutors said.

Arthur Anderson, 26, sold the pills to an officer for cash in front of 132 Ludwig Ave. on Aug. 5, court papers read. Anderson was later arrested in front of his home down the block from the sale on Tuesday, court papers read.

Anderson was charged with criminal sale and possession of a controlled substance at his Wednesday arraignment.
