Man Steals 50 Pairs of Glasses from Staten Island Store, Police Say

CASTLETON CORNERS — A man broke a store's window and stole 50 pairs of eyeglasses from inside, police said.

The suspect threw a rock through the front window of Williams Eye Works, at 1884 Victory Blvd. on Staten Island, shortly after midnight on Aug. 21, police said.

He then went inside and took 50 pairs of glasses before he fled on foot, police said.

Police described the male suspect as between 18 and 25-years-old.
