HELL'S KITCHEN — Australian phenomenon Iggy Azalea will play the West Side in the fall, capping off the first series of outdoor concerts at Hudson River Park's Pier 97.
The "Fancy" rapper will play the 5,250-person outdoor venue on Sept. 26 at 7 p.m., the park announced. Tickets for what is likely to be a sold-out show went on sale for $61, including fees, at 10 a.m. on Tuesday.
Hip-hop recording artist Vic Mensa will open for Azalea, according to the park's website.
This year was the first season of JBL Live at Pier 97, an outdoor concert series at the new venue that's already featured acts like The Fray and Michael Franti.
Concerts at the pier, which sits at West 55th Street, are meant to raise funds for the cash-strapped park. While shows have been popular, residents living across the Hudson River in New Jersey complained that they can hear each show from their homes as if they were in the front row.
A Hudson River Park spokesman said that officials hoped to remedy the issue before the next round of concerts kicks off on Friday.
A full list of concerts at Pier 97 is available at Live Nation's website.
