GREENWICH VILLAGE — A man had his $26,000 watch stolen by a pair of 19-year-old women he brought home to his Greenwich Village condo over the weekend, police said.

The man, 22, brought the teens back to his Thompson Street apartment about 6:30 a.m. on Aug. 10.

He took off his pricey Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore watch and put it down on the couch, before stepping out onto his balcony, police said.

When he turned around, he saw the teens grab his watch and run out the door of his apartment, police said.

The man chased the teens and was able to grab one of them, but the one holding the watch got away.

Jacelle Hernandez, 19, was arrested and charged with grand larceny, police said.

An attorney for Hernandez did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Police said the car was illegally parked at Washington Street and Gansevoort Street, and an NYPD traffic agent was in the process of towing it away about 8:20 a.m. on Aug. 6.

When the car was already on the tow lift, Joseph Safdieh, 56, jumped in and drove off the lift.

Safdieh was arrested and charged with obstructing government administration, police said. Information on his attorney was not immediately available.
