THE BRONX — A 51-year-old man was shot dead across the street from his High Bridge apartment building Thursday night, police said.
William Sands was found with a bullet wound to his head on the second floor landing of a building on West 165th Street, between Anderson and Woodycrest Avenues, around 10:15 p.m., the NYPD said.
He was taken to Lincoln Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The killer was still at large Friday morning, police said.
