BEDFORD-STUYVESANT — Police are looking for a man they say stabbed a livery cab driver and stole his car in Bed-Stuy earlier this year.

The unidentified man hailed the driver at Malcolm X Boulevard and Fulton Street around 10 p.m. on April 18 and asked him to drive to a location on Kosciuszko Street, police said.

Once there, the man took out a knife and stabbed the 58-year-old driver in the chest, demanding property, police said.

The driver managed to escape the car and the unidentified man hopped into the front seat and drove away, according to the NYPD.

The driver was taken to Kings County Hospital where he was treated and has since been released, police said.

The car was found abandoned in front of 484 Monroe St., near Marcus Garvey Boulevard, where police recovered surveillence video of the suspect.

Police described the suspect as between 35 and 40 years old, about 5-foot-10 and 200 pounds. He was last seen wearing a hat emblazoned with the word "Brooklyn" and a jacket with an "NY" symbol, according to the footage.
