MANHATTAN VALLEY — Ding dong, the lounge is (nearly) dead.

Thirteen-year-old Columbus Avenue dive bar Ding Dong Lounge is closing its doors July 31 after losing its lease, according to a message posted on its Facebook page and website.

"The Upper West Side has been a great home," the post read. "We have laughed here, we have cried here we have fallen over drunk here. But alas, it's time for a change."

The lounge owners said they were relocating from their address at 929 Columbus Ave., between 106th and 105th streets, writing: "It ain't over. We're just going on vacation." They did not release any specifics about a new location or information regarding the current lease.

Owners of the bar, known for its live music and late-night dance parties, did not respond to a request for comment.
