BLOOMFIELD — A man and a woman were found dead on a bed inside a Staten Island hotel on Wednesday afternoon, the NYPD said.
Police got a call from the Hilton Garden Inn in Bloomfield at 12:53 p.m. on July 23 and found Scott Jacobi, 37, and Theresa Mateo, 34, on a bed, fully-clothed and holding on to each other, police said.
Jacobi, of Dongan Hills, and Mateo, from the Bronx, were pronounced dead on the scene, police said.
Police said the Medical Examiner will determine the cause of the deaths and an investigation is ongoing.
"Out of respect for the privacy of our guests, we are referring all inquiries to the New York City Police Department," hotel spokeswoman Kristine Garlisi said.
