WEST VILLAGE — A person was struck and killed by a northbound 1 train at 14th Street Thursday evening, MTA officials said.
The unidentified person was pronounced dead at the scene about 7 p.m., according to the FDNY.
Trains were temporarily running express from Chambers Street to 34th Street because of the fatality.
