MANHATTAN — A 74-year-old woman was seriously hurt when she was struck by a double-decker tour bus in Greenwich Village Wednesday afternoon, officials said.

The woman was crossing Seventh Avenue at 14th Street just before 5 p.m. when the CitySights NY bus, which was turning south onto Seventh Avenue, slammed into her, the NYPD and FDNY said.

As tourists on the bus watched in horror, the woman was dragged under the bus and suffered serious injuries to her head and legs, according to police and reports.

She was rushed to Bellevue Hospital in critical condition, the FDNY said.

The driver was not ticketed, police said.

CitySights NY issued a statement saying the company was cooperating with the police investigation.

"Our thoughts are with the injured woman and her family," the statement added, according to reports. "Safety is of paramount concern to CitySights and we have an exemplary record in that regard."
