BEDFORD-STUYVESANT — A pedestrian was seriously injured after being struck by an SUV at a busy Brooklyn intersection Friday morning, fire officials said.

The unidentified man was crossing the street at Broadway and Flushing Avenue when he was mowed down by a silver Nissan SUV about 11:45 a.m., police and FDNY officials said.

“I just heard the impact from the corner. It was really loud,” said Mindy Maldonado, 55, who went rushing over after seeing the man on the ground. “I said, ‘Don’t move. Please don’t move.'”

“He kept on touching his head,” she added. “The blood was just squirting out.”

The victim was transported to Kings County Hospital to undergo surgery, police sources said.

The driver remained on the scene, police said, and their investigation was ongoing.
