
SHORE ACRES — Rescue workers found a man dead in the Hudson River off the Staten Island shore on Thursday morning, police said.
A U.S. Coast Guard unit found the unidentified man floating in the waters near Bay Street and Anchor Place at 8:12 a.m. on Thursday, police said.
The man was recovered and transported to the bay by the NYPD Harbor Patrol and EMS workers on the shore pronounced him dead on arrival.
The Medical Examiner was determining the cause of death.
