The victim, a 28-year-old man, was involved in an early morning accident on the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway on May 11, which damaged the trunk of his car, police said.

The man then drove away and parked the vehicle at Meeker Avenue and Apollo Street, but couldn’t close the broken trunk, which held the equipment, according to police.

When the man left the vehicle unattended between 5 a.m. and 5:10 a.m., the camera, tripod and other valuables were stolen, police said.

The cost of the stolen property was not immediately available. No arrests have been made as yet.
