ASTORIA — Hop on the "Brew Bus."

An Astoria bar is taking customers on a beer-themed road trip, which will bring them from the neighborhood pub to a tour and tasting at an upstate brewery.

Trappist-style gastropub Snowdonia — which started offering craft beer deliveries last month — will launch the "Brew Bus" May 10, starting with a visit to the Captain Lawrence Brewing Company in Elmsford, NY.

"It's sort of like a winery tour," said Snowdonia's marketing director Matt Callahan. "Nobody does that for breweries, and we thought it would be a really cool idea."

Tickets for the full-day event cost $65. The festivities will start at Snowdonia at 34-55 32nd St. for a carbohydrate-filled brunch that includes two draft beers from the bar.

Patrons will then board a charter bus to the brewery, where they'll get a tour of the facilities and sample Captain Lawrence's brews in the tasting room.

The event is the first trip the bar is organizing, though Callahan said they're hoping to make it a monthly or bi-monthly activity.

"We're looking to make it a regular thing," he said.
