MANHATTAN — The adventurous pooch that tried to outrun a Metro-North train last week has a new home, according to the city's animal control agency.
The Miller family took the dog, one of more than 100 people who asked Animal Care and Control about adopting Tie, the agency said.
“We’re thrilled Tie is going to a great home,” said Risa Weinstock of AC&C.
The agency did not immediately release information about the lucky family that adopted Tie.
Tie, a collie shepherd mix, did not have a tag, license or microchip when rescued her from the tracks after chasing a train from Mott Haven to East Harlem on April 8.
She appeared to be in great health and showed off several tricks to shelter staff, which led them to believe that she was not a stray. Her owner was given until Friday afternoon to claim her.
Tie was so charming, one of the MTA officers that rescued her had hoped to be the one to bring the pup home to his family.
