Worker Dies in Plunge from Chelsea Office Building

CHELSEA — A construction worker died in a fall from a 10-story office building Monday afternoon, police and fire officials said.

The man landed on a building shed above the sidewalk at 434 W. 33rd St. about 3:30 p.m, fire officials said.

Another man who was traumatized by the horrific scene was taken to Bellevue Hospital for evaluation, an FDNY spokesman said.

Police and city Department of Buildings investigators are looking into the accident.
