MANHATTAN — A man invited a man and woman into his Times Square hotel room only to have them steal his iPad, iPhone, $600 in cash and other belongings in the early hours of March 13, police said.

The 22-year-old hotel guest, whose name was not released, was staying at the Crowne Plaza Hotel at 1605 Broadway at 49th Street and invited the pair up to his room for drinks about 1:30 a.m., an NYPD spokesman said.

In addition to the victim's electronics, the duo made off with his debit cards and watch, a police spokesman said.

Police said the victim knew the suspects but did not say how or why he had invited them up to his room at the hotel, which offers rooms for about $300 a night.

Police released photos of the man who was last seen wearing a dark jacket over a dark hoodie and the woman, who wore a dark hoodie with a beanie and glasses.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS (8477).
