Man Steals Unattended Purses From Two Manhattan Restaurants, Police Say

MANHATTAN — Police are looking for a man who stole handbags that were left unattended at two Manhattan restaurants, they said.

On Jan. 29, the suspect snatched a purse containing an iPhone, credit cards and cash inside of Fedora restaurant, at 239 W. Fourth St. near West 10th Street, at about 9 p.m., police said.

One day later, the same man hit Sushi Damo at 330 W. 58th St. near Eighth Avenue at about 7:40 p.m., where he lifted another bag that was left unattended, police said.

Police described the suspect as a 5-foot-9 man in his 30s.
