WEST HARLEM — A 61-year-old man was found dead in his apartment with scratches on his head and upper body, and police were investigating the cause of death Sunday.

Clarke Meyers, Sr. was discovered in a bedroom on the 14th floor unconscious and unresonsive at 3:47 p.m. Saturday, police said.

Police were questioning his son, Clarke Meyers, Jr. in the suspected homicide at 545 W.126th St., the Daily News reported, noting that he had been arrested 20 times previously for drug possession, theft of services, assault and ticket scalping.

Meyers, Sr. was also found with hemorrhaging in his eyes, in addition to the scratches on his neck and chest, the paper wrote.

EMS workers declared Meyers, Sr. dead at the scene.

Police said an investigation was ongoing.
