WILLIAMSBURG — The police have released a video in connection with a woman who was assaulted and robbed of her cellular phone in Williamsburg on New Year’s Day.

The victim, 26, was walking down the stairs at the Graham Ave. L subway stop just after 5 a.m. on January 1, when she was attacked from behind.

The suspect grabbed the woman's phone and then took off on foot, police said.

The NYPD is now seeking the public’s help to identify the suspect, who in the surveillance video appears to be walking past a bus stop in the early hours of the morning.

He is in his early 20s, 5-foot-7, and was wearing a black knit cap, brown bubble jacket, black sweatpants, and black sneakers on the day of the assault, according to police.
