BROOKLYN — A 19-year-old Brooklyn mother has been charged in the death of her 2-year-old son.

Jayden Smith died Thursday morning after being rushed from his Bragg Street home in Sheepshead Bay to Coney Island Hospital, police said.

His mother, Geraldine Smith, was charged Tuesday with assault, injury to a person under seven years old and child endangerment after the Medical Examiner ruled Jayden's death a homicide, according to the NYPD.

Jayden, who has a twin sibling, started vomiting and had difficulty breathing Thursday after Smith threw him into some furniture, NY1 reported Tuesday.

Smith had previously been involved with New York City Administration of Children's Services when she was placed in foster care after her mother died, the Associated Press reported.

Mayor Bill de Blasio recently called for a probe of ACS after a Far Rockaway mother was arrested in the beating death of her 2-year-old daughter Kevasia Edwards.

That incident happened just weeks after 4-year-old Myls Dobson died from allegedly being tortured and starved by a woman who was taking care of him after his father went to jail.

Tiana Mills, 3, who was also under ACS supervision, died in Bushwick over the summer of heat exposure. Her death was ruled a homicide last month.

“The Administration for Children’s Service has received a report about the sad death of this little boy and is working closely with the New York Police Department in the investigation to learn the circumstances that led to the death," ACS said in a statement. "The remaining sibling is now in ACS." care.
