MIDTOWN — Get ready for more.

The city could be socked with another 4 to 6 inches of snow late Wednesday night into Thursday as another storm sweeps the area, a National Weather Service spokesman said.

Temperatures should be in the mid-20s most of the day Wednesday into the evening, before flakes begin falling close to midnight. The snow is expected to intensify through the morning on Thursday, the spokesman said.

The precipitation will likely change to rain Thursday afternoon as temperatures finally get above the freezing mark, the NWS spokesman said. But city residents could be looking at additional snow Thursday night when temperatures dip back down.

The Feb. 13 record high in the city is 64 degrees, set in 1951. The low for the date is minus 1, in 1914. The record snowfall for the date occured in 1899, when 10.7 inches of snow accumulated.
