CARROLL GARDENS — A tiny jewelry boutique that quietly popped up on Smith Street is hosting their first art exhibition this month.

Roux-Roux, located at 243 Smith St., will present “Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée,” a collection by artist Etienne Warneck from Feb. 7 to March 6, the store announced.

The boutique specializes in “sculptural figures” that can be used as jewelry as well as home accessories, like drawer pulls, said Maggie Chan, who works at the store.

Owners of Roux-Roux had another store in the neighborhood about a decade ago but closed the location five years later, Chan said.

The new gallery plans to host exhibitions of different artists through the year with about six or seven pieces from their collections.

“We’d like to have something fresh every month,” she said.

Other recent comings and goings on the neighborhood restaurant and retail scene include the following:

Elleven, a jewelry shop at 168 Court St., is moving to a new location next month. The shop will be moving to 98 Smith St. between Pacific Street and Atlantic Avenue, according their website.
