CLAREMONT — Seven people were injured in a Bronx fire Sunday afternoon, including two firefighters, FDNY officials said.

The blaze started on the fifth floor of a NYCHA building at the Morrisania Houses, at 450 East 169th Street, the FDNY said. The call came in reporting the fire just after 1:30 p.m., and it was under control an hour later, the FDNY said.

The two firefighters and five residents, including an elderly woman and two children, were taken to St. Barnabas hospital, according to the FDNY. None of the injuries were life threatening.

The cause of the fire is still unknown.
