Man's Body Found in Water Off Astoria Park, Police Say

ASTORIA — A man's body was pulled from the East River off the shore of Astoria Monday morning, according to police.

The NYPD responded to a 911 call at 7:47 a.m. of a body floating in the water in the vicinity of Astoria Park, near Shore Boulevard between Ditmars Boulevard and Astoria Park South, police said.

The unidentified man is believed to be between 40 and 50 years old, according to the NYPD. The medical examiner will determine the cause of death and the investigation is ongoing, police said.
