Man Found Dead in East 56th Street Bathroom

MIDTOWN — A 45-year-old man was found dead inside a fifth floor bathroom on East 56^th Street shortly after 2:30 a.m. Sunday, police said.

According to police, the man was found unconscious within a bathroom at 227 East 56^th Street, a commercial office building whose ground floor is home to Lips, a drag bar.

Police said the man was pronounced dead at the scene, and that there were no signs of physical trauma. The investigation is ongoing.
