GREENWOOD HEIGHTS — A new Fourth Avenue apartment building boasting "majestic views" and "luxury" features is now renting units, the real estate firm Ideal Properties Group announced this week.

Known as Greenwood on 4th, the 16-unit building has studios that rent for $1,800 to $2,200 and two-bedrooms from $3,000 to $3,400 per month. Each apartment has a washer-dryer, hardwood floors, stainless-steel appliances, and kitchen counters made of Caesarstone quartz.

The nine-story building has balconies overlooking Green-Wood Cemetery, as well as views of the Manhattan skyline and Brooklyn waterfront, according to marketing materials.

The building, at 683 Fourth Ave. and 21st Street, sits between what some consider Greenwood Heights and Sunset Park, though the area is also sometimes called South Slope. The neighborhood was recently profiled in the Wall Street Journal  as a "prime destination," where housing prices are starting to creep upward.

“Luxury rentals in this area are increasingly becoming scarce, and we are delighted to be able to bring these units to market,” said Aleksandra Scepanovic, managing director of Ideal Properties Group, in a press release.

The building was under construction for several years because the original developer couldn't secure financing, according to the Real Deal.
