
WOODSIDE — A man was struck and killed by a Long Island Rail Road train at the Woodside station Tuesday night, officials said.
The man was hit at 11:52 p.m. by a Babylon-bound train that had left Penn Station at 11:35 p.m., according to an MTA spokeswoman. The MTA did not have further information on the man's identity or why he was on the tracks.
Several east and westbound trains were delayed after the incident, some for up to half an hour, a spokeswoman said. All service was on or close to schedule by 3 a.m.
