QUEENS — An 85-year-old woman was seriously injured when she was hit by a bus while crossing Queens Boulevard at 108th Street in Forest Hills Wednesday morning, authorities said.

The accident occurred at just before 10 a.m., when the woman was hit by a Q64 bus, which was making a right turn from 108th Street onto Queens Boulevard, said Marisa Baldeo, a spokeswoman for the MTA.

The bus was in service at the time of the accident, Baldeo said.

The woman, who was struck by the rear tire of the bus, was taken to Bellevue Hospital with foot and ankle injuries, Baldeo said.

The FDNY officials described her injuries as serious but non life-threatening.

The investigation is ongoing, the MTA said.
