BEDFORD-STUYVESANT — A Bed-Stuy man was dragged down the steps of his own home by a man wearing an Ivy League jacket during an iPhone robbery, police said.

The 35-year-old victim was walking up the steps near Putnam Avenue and Fulton Street around 2:30 a.m. on Dec. 23 when he was approached by his assailant, who tried to wrestle away the man's iPhone 4, police said.

The man resisted and was pulled down the steps during the struggle. The mugger made off with the phone, police said.

The victim was taken to Interfaith Medical Center where he was treated for a cut to the head and released, police said.

The NYPD on Thursday released surveillance photos of the alleged assailant. He was last seen wearing a red University of Pennsylvania jacket.

Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS.
