QUEENS — A Corrections Department officer turned himself into police Tuesday night after he had sex with a teenage girl he met at a Christmas Eve party, officials said.

After having a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old girl whose identity was not released, 41-year-old Giovanny Campos surrendered to the 112th Precinct stationhouse about 8:35 p.m., the NYPD said.

Campos, who sources said worked on Rikers Island, met the girl at a Christmas Eve party at her home in Ozone Park where they danced and she gave him her number, according to the criminal complaint against him.

On Christmas day, they headed to a restaurant and Campos inappropriately touched her leg while in his car, prosecutors said.

The next day, he drove her to see the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree before heading to a car wash near LaGuardia airport where they kissed repeatedly, prosecutors said.

Then on Dec. 27, he drove her to a sweet 16 party and picked her up again at 1 a.m. to drive her to his apartment and they had sex, prosecutors said.

Campos was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and sexual conduct with an individual under the age of 17, the NYPD said.

Campos, a 9-year veteran with the Corrections Department, was suspended as a result of the arrest, sources said.

He has been arrested several times in the past, but those records were sealed, a police spokesman said.
