BROOKLYN — Days after a man was fatally stabbed outside a South Williamsburg Mexican restaurant, police released a photo of a suspect wearing a cowboy hat.

The 44-year-old victim, identified by relatives as Enrique "Mauricio" Martinez, was found with stab wounds to his torso outside Zocalo, at 295 Broadway, about 5 a.m. Dec. 7. He was pronounced dead  at Woodhull Hospital, the NYPD said.

"I saw it happen," said a man who claimed to be Martinez's cousin. "[Martinez] was trying to get in his car to get away."

The suspect, who is about 5-foot-7 and 230 pounds, was last seen sporting a mustache and wearing a light-colored cowboy hat, according to police.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS (8477).
