BEDFORD-STUYVESANT — A woman was critically injured when her boyfriend repeatedly stabbed her with a kitchen knife inside the Sumner Houses Tuesday night, sources said.

Miguel Cordero, 36, was inside the Marcus Garvey Boulevard apartment building when he attacked his girlfriend at 7:22 p.m., stabbing her in the head, neck and stomach, the NYPD said.

A bloody, naked Cordero then ran outside following the attack, according to a neighbor who witnessed the incident.

"Four cops went after him. He grabbed one by the neck. The cop grabbed his night stick and was beating him, but he still wouldn't go down," the neighbor said.

"Then basically the whole precinct showed up," he added. "There must've been 100 cops. They grabbed his legs and took him down."

The neighbor said tenants then alerted police that there was an injured woman inside.

"Five minutes later, they took a lady out," the neighbor said. "She was on a stretcher. She had a neck brace on. They were covering her face. She wasn't moving."

The 32-year-old victim was rushed to Kings County Hospital in critical but stable condition, a police spokesman said.

"She's doing all right. She's in surgery now," said a woman who identified herself as the victim's aunt but declined to be named.

Cordero was taken to Woodhull Hospital in police custody.

He was charged with assault, resisting arrest and criminal possession of a weapon, according to the NYPD.
