FLATLANDS — A woman was found dead by police following a 911 call alerting them to an unconcious person at an apartment building in Brooklyn, police said.
Police responding to the call around 7:30 p.m. on Friday discovered a 56 year-old woman on the second floor of 27 Hubbard Place, unconcious and unresponsive, police said.
The woman appeared to have severe trauma to her neck, according to police. EMS responders pronounced her dead at the scene.
The woman's identification has not been released pending family notification. It is not yet known how the woman died, said police, and the Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death. An investigation into the exact nature of the incident is ongoing, according to police.
