MANHATTAN — A person was seriously hurt and two others received minor injuries when a West End Avenue home caught fire Monday night, the FDNY said.

Flames tore through the fourth and fifth floors of 471 West End Ave., near West 83rd Street, about 7:15 p.m., an FDNY spokesman said.

A civilian suffered serious injuries and was rushed to Weill Cornell hospital, where another civilian and a firefighter were also treated for minor injuries, he added.

Approximately 100 firefighters brought the blaze under control about 90 minutes later, the FDNY said.

Investigators are still looking into what sparked the fire, an FDNY spokesman said.
