
BEDFORD-STUYVESANT — A man was shot dead in front of Bed-Stuy's Tompkins Houses early Monday morning, police said.
Police received a 911 call at 6:10 a.m. reporting a person shot in front of 85 Tompkins Ave., near the Stockton Street entrance to the Tompkins Houses, according to the NYPD.
When they arrived, police said they found Cory Goulbourne, 33, unconscious with two gunshot wounds to his legs and torso.
Goulbourne was rushed to Kings County Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival, police said.
Neighbors said Goulbourne had only recently moved into the development to stay with his girlfriend, who was a Tompkins Houses resident.
There have been are no arrests, and the investigation is ongoing, police said.
