Holiday Events to Bring More Street Closures in Midtown Next Week

MIDTOWN — More holiday celebrations will bring more street closures next week.

Winter's Eve at Lincoln Square will cause some driving headaches in the Upper West Side Monday night. From 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. 61st Street between Columbus Avenue 66th Street and 60th Street will be closed to traffic. The following streets will have their sidewalks and curb lanes closed during that time:

• Broadway between 68th and 60th streets
• Columbus Avenue between 66th and 60th streets
• 62nd Street between Broadway and Columbus Avenue
• 63rd Street between Columbus Avenue and Central Park West
• 64th Street between Broadway and Central Park West
• 65th Street between Columbus Avenue and Central Park West
• 67th Street between Broadway and Amsterdam

Wednesday brings the annual Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree lighting. Streets around 30 Rock will be closed from 7:00 a.m. to 10 p.m. Here's the breakdown:

• 5th Avenue between 48th and 52nd streets
• 6th Avenue between 48th and 52nd streets
• 48th street between 5th and 6th avenues
• 49th street between 5th and 6th avenues
• 50th street between 5th and 6th avenues
• 51st street between 5th and 6th avenues
• 52nd street between 5th and 6th avenues
