Man Found Dead in Harlem Air Shaft, Police Say

CENTRAL HARLEM — A was found dead at the bottom of an air shaft between two buildings on Wednesday morning, police said.

A woman who lives on one of the upper floors of 1971 Adam Clayton Powell Jr Boulevard made the gruesome discovery about 9 a.m. when she peered out her apartment window, the superintendent said.

The medical examiner will determine cause of death, but police said there were no obvious signs of trauma on the body. The investigation is ongoing.
