MIDTOWN — Attention, shoppers.

AT&T unwrapped its first redesigned retail store in New York City Monday morning, unveiling a wood-paneled and orange-trimmed answer to the Apple Store, just in time for Black Friday and the start of the holiday shopping season.

The store, located at 250 W. 57th St. in Midtown, is divided into "Zones" dubbed "Connected Experience," "Community," and "Explore" — each offering dozens of smartphones, tablets, watches, speakers and other gadgets to test, tinker with and buy.

"Nearly two years in development, the store design reflects the future of retail and mirrors how customers want to shop for technology," AT&T said in a statement.

The store opened for a private press preview Monday morning and will open to the public Tuesday. It marks the company's 13th redesigned store nationwide, and its first to open in New York City.
