LONG ISLAND CITY — A highly-anticipated new restaurant from the team behind MoMA PS1 eatery M. Wells Dinette is set to open this week in Court Square.

Owner Hugue Dufour said earlier this week that he was gearing up to hold a soft opening for family and friends at the new space, a steakhouse located at 43-15 Crescent St. in what was once a commercial garage.

Rockrose Development Corp., which owns the building, said on Twitter that M. Wells Steakhouse would open to the public on Thursday.

The eatery is work of Dufour and wife Sarah Obraitis, who run the cafeteria-style M. Wells Dinette at MoMA PS1.

The two were also behind the popular M. Wells Diner at 21-17 49th Ave., a favorite among foodies, which closed in 2011.
