Pair Used ID Stolen From LES Woman for $6K Shopping Spree, Police Say

 Police are looking for a man and woman they say used a stolen ID from a Lower East Side woman to purchase credit cards in her name and then make thousands of dollars of purchases from Long Island stores on Sept. 26, 2013.

MANHATTAN — A man and woman used an ID stolen from a Lower East Side woman to apply for credit cards in her name and then purchased thousands of dollars worth of goods on Long Island, police said.

The pair used the cards to make off with about $6,000 worth of merchandise at Long Island stores, including a Lowes on the afternoon of Sept. 26, according to the NYPD.

The victim said she did not know where or when her identification was taken.
