BROOKLYN — A 54-year-old woman died in a three-car crash in Canarsie Tuesday morning, police said.

The woman, whose identity was not immediately released, was driving her green Pontiac Grand Prix south on Ralph Avenue when she hit a grey Volkswagen sedan at Foster Avenue about 4:30 a.m., according to the NYPD.

The Grand Prix then careened into a nearby tractor trailer while the Volkswagen slammed into a light pole, police said.

The woman was rushed to Brookdale Hospital and pronounced dead, police said.

The Volkswagen's driver, a 22-year-old man, was also taken there and listed in stable condition, police said.

The tractor trailer's driver was uninjured in the crash, the NYPD said.

No one was immediately arrested afterwards and police said the investigation is ongoing.
